Who are we?

Landatu Solar is a recently created company in Bilbao, focused on the development of engineering projects in the solar energy sector.

Our main focus is on providing solutions for floating solar energy but with our eyes open to the search for innovative solutions in other types of locations.

At Landatu we design and manufacture our own patented float systems and anchoring systems.

We have a high component of research and development so we work every day facing new challenges and looking for solutions to problems in this type of installations.

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for a person who is highly motivated to work in this sector and who shares Landatu’s values. The position requires a versatile, decisive profile, a high degree of curiosity and a desire to learn. We are a small team and in our day-to-day work we have to deal with and solve problems and needs of different natures.

You will face new problems within our sector and future needs of our customers and you will have to help in the design and conceptualisation of our solutions. You will work with our current flotation systems and in the research of new product lines to help us evolve in a market with a great untapped potential and in a changing state.

Therefore, we are looking for a person with a technical profile, willing to experiment and develop new products, with experience in the design of industrial products. If you also have experience in the photovoltaic or renewable energy sector, it is a plus.

Minimum qualifications:

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Product Design or similar.
• Master’s Degree in Renewable Energies or knowledge of photovoltaic energy will be an asset.

Minimum requirements:

• High level of Catia V5 software and other design programs (Autocad, Solidworks, SolidEdge, etc.).
• Demonstrable experience (minimum 5 years) in mechanical design, industrial design, or tooling design.
• High level of English, with ability to deal with customers and suppliers.
• Experience with FEM and CFD models will be an asset.

Tasks to be developed:

• Review of current designs for the adaptation and improvement of the product R+D+i.
• Design and development of new products according to needs discovered.
• Gathering of requirements and requirements of the different business units in the company.
• FEM calculations of the different designs and product improvements.
• Collaborate in the industrial development of the designs made.
• Coordination of QA tests of our products in real environments (real pilots) and/or simulated (wind tunnel, etc.).
• Analysis of results and definition of improvements at product design level.
• Quantitative and qualitative analysis of our product compared to different alternatives and modes of use of current products.
• Collaborate in the creation and documentation of the different patents of the company. Active management with the lawyers in charge of the processes.
• Participate in the certification processes of equipment according to the different product standards.
• Supervision of the design of new anchoring systems, their supervision, testing, QA assurance and assistance in commissioning with customers.
• Supervision, definition and monitoring of new manufacturing systems based on injection methods: supervision of moulds, QA of parts, testing and analysis of parts and their transfer to mass production.

• Salary range: between 30.000-35000€ gross, depending on experience plus variable payment depending on objectives.

Marketing and Communication Internship – Internships

In Landatu Solar we are looking for a student of Journalism, Audiovisual Communication, Advertising or Digital Marketing who wants to join our team collaborating with us in the creation of content, media / social media dissemination, marketing and communication strategy, etc.

In a market that is growing at a high rate and in which solar energy has consolidated itself as the cheapest form of energy production that exists, floating solar energy solves several problems, taking advantage of unused space, avoiding the evaporation of water and producing more energy than panels on land. As a differential value, we have a float design that reduces the costs of these installations.

At Landatu we design and manufacture our own patented float systems and their anchoring systems, thus offering different types of products for solar energy solutions on sheets of water.

What do we expect from you? That you can help us in the following fields:

Social Media

• Social Media Strategy and Management
• Content strategy for the different social networks.
• Customer service via social networks
• Monitoring of our brands and products in the different media/networks for repercussion and impact analysis.
• Creation of content (images/videos) about our products for RRSS.

Communication and Online Marketing

• Creation and writing of general content on our sector (solar energy) for our blog and for general dissemination and in the media: guides, infographics, newsletters…
• Strategy and optimisation for search engines of all content generated (Spanish – English). Basic notions of SEO.
• Analysis of metrics and evolution (Google Analytics, Google Search Console, etc.).
• Search for collaborators for the blog.
• Support in the search and organisation of events and other collaborations.
• Search and writing of success stories (Case Studies) among our clients (both national and international).
• Communication strategy (including NdP) and management of media appearances.
• Start-up, control and monitoring of Paid Media campaign strategies.

Desired profile:

• Student or Degree in Journalism, Communication, Advertising, Marketing- Ability to create and write content in Spanish (and desirable in English).- Possibility of making agreement with university or school.- Ability in the use of social networks (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Linkedin, etc).- Basic knowledge of SEO.
• Desirable knowledge of image editing in Photoshop (or equivalent tool).
• Desirable knowledge of video editing.
• Restless person, who likes to investigate and learn new things and is not afraid of new challenges and experiences of a start-up.

What do we offer?

• Dedication of between 4 and 8 hours per day to be agreed.
• Flexible working hours.
• Internship contract for 3 months (extendable).
• Remuneration: Between 400€ and 800€, depending on dedication.
• Possibility of growth within the company and subsequent contract.
